Well, I guess I better get used to the weekend flying by since this is what I have to look forward to for the rest of my life... anyway.... The first week of interning was um... a learning experience.... I am in a co-teaching class with full inclusion. Basically, that means 36 kids at once, 2 classroom teachers, me, and 1 part time special ed teacher. Here's the breakdown: 18 May, June, July, Aug birthdays (meaning half of the class just turned 6), 9 special ed kids, 5 speech (not including the speech problems that are also spec. ed), 3 rated a 3 or higher on behavior, several on some sort of medication for adhd, oh yeah and 1 being tested for multiple personalities..... Basically, its a zoo in that classroom. The teachers kept saying "tomorrow will be better" until we got to Thursday when they admitted that we were "drowning". So yeah. That was my week... I basically had a nervous breakdown about 3 times already this week.... thank you to those who helped me through it. :) So hopefully next week will be better.... or I may not make it until November.
On a happier note, everyone is coming back next weekend! YAY!!!!! I can't wait to have roomies again! Well, I must be off. I have fun adult things to do for the last few hours of my weekend... you know, food shopping, laundry, cleaning the toilet... yesssssss......
